About the Artist

Jonathan was born and raised in the United Kingdom where he remained until his teens. After graduating from high school he joined the Royal Navy and eventually the Royal Australian Navy from which he retired after serving 20 years.

After his service career, Jonathan dedicated himself fully to his artwork and his new career as a teacher in a pre-kindergarten program.

The influence of Australian Aboriginal Art and that culture's "Dreamtime Stories" can be seen throughout Jonathan's Tales From My Dreamtime collection. The Aboriginal Dreamtime is a way of communicating the history of the land and families through the generations by the telling of stories and making of pictures. Jonathan uses this format to entertain children with stories inspired from his childhood and travels. He then uses the medium of oil paint to depict these stories on canvas.

Jonathan's paintings hang in Australia, the USA and England. He has had the pleasure of entertaining and educating children at storytelling engagements in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Jonathan now resides in Carrollton, GA in the USA with his wife and two sons.
